Whistling Straits car service
The course is 20 minutes past the resort, on a stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline with nothing else on it. That is most of what you need to know about getting here.
75 minutes up from Mitchell, 20 from the ramp at Sheboygan County Memorial, and room for a foursome and their travel bags. The rate is flat, all-inclusive, and agreed before you book.

What the course is
Has hosted a Ryder Cup, three PGA Championships and a US Senior Open. Two courses share the property: the Straits, the championship links course on the lake, and the Irish, inland from it.
The Straits is a walking course and caddies carry. That matters to us in one practical way: nobody is driving a cart back to a parking lot, so the pick-up is at the clubhouse and the timing is the round rather than the tee time.

The 20 minutes back to the resort is the number most people actually need, and it is the one the resort's own shuttle does not cover in both directions late in the day.

A foursome with travel bags is a different packing problem to four passengers with suitcases. Say which you are when you book. With two passengers the third row folds and it roughly doubles.

How far is Whistling Straits from The American Club?
About 20 minutes. That gap is the whole reason this page exists separately from the Kohler one: the resort shuttle covers the hotel to course leg, but the trip up from Milwaukee, the airport at either end and a dinner off the property are ours.
How long is the drive from Milwaukee?
About 75 minutes from Mitchell, a few more than the resort. We quote on the longer number rather than the shorter one, because a golfer who misses a tee time does not care that the average is lower.
Will four sets of clubs fit?
A foursome with travel bags is a different packing problem to four passengers with suitcases. Say which you are when you book. With two passengers the third row folds and it roughly doubles. Six large suitcases at standard checked size, or the equivalent.
Can you meet a private jet at Sheboygan County Memorial?
Yes, and it is 20 minutes from the ramp to the clubhouse. We work with the FBO on the arrival so the vehicle is there when the door opens rather than after a phone call.
Can you take us to Erin Hills on the same trip?
Often asked, because a lot of golfers come for both. It is about 80 minutes across, further than a map suggests, and it has a page of its own linked below.
How much does it cost?
The quote is the number you pay. All fares, fees, taxes, tolls and chauffeur gratuity are in it, and each line is shown rather than buried. As directed by the hour runs $110 to $150 depending on the service level, all-inclusive, and point to point is priced on distance and time. Point to point has no minimum. Airport transfers and hotel shuttles are often under an hour, and consecutive trips can be booked back to back. Hourly, as directed carries a minimum of three hours on weekdays and four at weekends.
