Race weekends, and why they are booked differently
Road America is a four mile circuit in open country, and a race weekend brings a crowd several times the size of the village down a small number of two lane roads. The arrival is manageable. The departure is the part that catches people out, because everybody leaves within the same half hour and a vehicle that is not already positioned is not reaching you quickly.
So race weekends are booked hourly rather than point to point, for the same reason Alpine Valley is: the vehicle and the chauffeur stay with you, and waiting is inside the quote rather than metered. A car that never left is worth more than a car that has to come back.
The track runs a season rather than a single event, with major weekends spread from late spring to early autumn and vintage and club events between them. The resorts fill first for those dates, and so do we. We do not publish the calendar here because the track publishes its own and ours would go stale the first time it moved.
Sheboygan County Memorial is 20 minutes away and takes private aircraft, which is how a good share of the race weekend traffic actually arrives. We coordinate with the FBO so the vehicle is at the ramp when the door opens.

How far is Elkhart Lake from Milwaukee?
About 75 minutes from Mitchell. Those are the figures we quote on, rounded up rather than down, because a race start is no more forgiving than a tee time.
Can you meet a private aircraft for a race weekend?
Yes. Sheboygan County Memorial is 20 minutes from the village and takes private aircraft, and we work with the FBO on the arrival. It is the most convenient way into this part of the state.
Do you serve The Osthoff, Siebkens and The Shore Club?
All three, plus the golf at Quit Qui Oc and the towns around the lake. One service area, one flat, all-inclusive quote agreed before you book.
Is the Kohler golf the same trip?
It is close, about 30 minutes, and plenty of groups do both. Whistling Straits, Blackwolf Run and The American Club are covered properly on the Kohler page rather than here.
