Transport for the family, on the day.
When somebody dies there is a long list of things that have to be arranged in a few days, and transport is on it. This is the part we can take off you.
We coordinate with the funeral director on the timings and the route. If you would rather not be the person relaying all of that, give them our number and we will take it from there.
What we cover
- The family, to the service and afterwards
- Pick-up at the house, the funeral home or the hotel, and back again. We work it out with you the way a wedding day is worked out, and run however many vehicles the family actually needs.
- In the procession, behind the hearse
- We are usually in the processional behind the hearse. That part is arranged with the funeral director on the day rather than with you, because he has the route and the order.
- Family arriving from out of town
- Airport pick-ups at Mitchell or O'Hare across the days either side. Often the most useful part, because it is the part nobody has time to organize.
- The day held open
- An hourly reservation rather than a set of separate trips, so the timings can move on the day without anybody making a phone call about it.

- Times move on a funeral day. They will not cost you anything.

- A flat, all-inclusive quote, agreed before the day, with nothing added afterwards.
Questions
How far ahead do you need to know?
As far ahead as you know, and a day is usually enough. Funerals are arranged quickly and we understand that.
Can you be in the procession?
Yes. That part is arranged with your funeral director rather than with you. He has the route and the order and we work to it.
What if the timings change on the day?
They usually do. It will not cost you anything and you do not need to call about it. The reservation is booked by the hour so the day can move.
Can you pick up family from the airport?
Yes, at Mitchell or O'Hare, across the days either side. It is often the most useful part, because it is the part nobody has time to arrange.
How many people fit?
Up to 6 in the Escalade ESV and up to 7 in the Chevrolet Suburban, in both cases with one passenger in the front seat. Behind the chauffeur it is 5 and 6. The rear figure is what each tier is sold on: the bench seats six and the captain's chairs seat five, which is the trade that buys third-row legroom. The front passenger seat is there on top of that when a group would rather stay in one vehicle than split across two.
